Front & Back Gardens

There is a patio both in front and behind the cottage, each with a table and chairs offering a dining area or just somewhere to sit and enjoy the view.

There are several planters with culinary herb for your use, including mint, chives, parsley, oregano, sage and rosemary.

In the front garden a trellis on one side and a stone wall on the other offer some privacy. The garden has a lawn and is fully fenced, so you can let you dog out off the lead. Elsewhere on the property dogs must be kept on a lead to protect the free-roaming animals.

Behind the cottage is the parking space with steps leading down to a second, smaller patio with seating, a table and more planters with herbs. A lockable cycle store is also located at the back of the cottage.

If you want to explore the area on foot or by bicycle, you recommend you bring your own:

  • Walking boots or sturdy shoes
  • Wellingtons
  • Waterproof clothing for wet days
  • Binoculars for birdwatching
  • Bicycles (though there are bicycle hire shops in both Skipton and Ilkley)

If there is anything you find you need during your stay, just ask! We live two doors down and are happy to help.

We will shortly be taking bookings through www.yorkshirehideaways.co.uk. Until then, you can contact us directly for availability and bookings.
